SILK

Iridescent hues of unusual shot “silk combinations in a variety of weaves form our silk collection. From their plain state the silks may be worked like a bas-relief of sculpted stone or metal, or flat-printed like a painting – a concept introduced this past year. The” bas-relief” creates a subtle, light-catching alternative to plain silk taffeta or shantung, while the flat printed silk offers a loose informal touch. In addition, a group of Jacquards, reminiscent of Japanese brocades are woven on antique looms, rich in colour and dimension. The plains may also be treated in the traditional cylinder gaufrage technique.
