The Sabina Fay Braxton trademark is the gilded gaufrage technique, elaborated on from medieval embossing techniques of dusting embossed velvet in tarnished metals, and suffusing the crushed pile with iridescent inks. This is the most elaborate and labour intensive of our techniques, capturing the essence of ageing brocades, erosion, and patina, befitting both traditional and contemporary ambiances in some 70 motifs.
